The Crown of the Continent Research Learning Center (CCRLC) partners with Glacier National Park's Interpretation and Education Division, the Glacier Institute, Flathead Community of Resource Educators (CORE), and other collaborators to provide professional development opportunities for educators. From teacher workshops to working with resource educators in Flathead CORE, the CCRLC hopes to enhance educators' understanding about the area's natural and cultural history as well as communicate current scientific research.
Learning Opportunities for Educators
Public Presentations and Online ToolsOpportunities exist for teachers to attend free presentations on current research and resource topics through brown bag presentations, Science & History Day, and media tools.
Teacher Workshops
The CCRLC partners with collaborators from U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Flathead CORE, and Glacier's Education Program to provide teacher workshops each year. The focus of the workshops vary, but all allow participants the opportunity to learn from resource specialists, scientists, and historians about the natural and cultural resources in Glacier National Park. Find more information about this year's opportunities by visiting Glacier National Park's Professional Development page.
