The Taurid and Leonid meteor showers; annual mussel quarantine restrictions have been lifted; coho salmon and steelhead trout will be spawning soon; new artwork in the Bear Valley Visitor Center produced by the Latino Photo Project; maintenance work occurring at Bear Valley Visitor Center; the Bear Valley Visitor Center will be open on Veterans Day.

Updates on artwork displayed at the Bear Valley Visitor Center; clarification concerning how to obtain an Interagency Senior Pass on Senior Skip Day; the Bear Valley and Lighthouse Visitor Centers are open on Monday, October 12; all campgrounds are full for the weekend.

Higher than usual tides this week; tool use by acorn woodpeckers; all campgrounds are full for Labor Day weekend; all park visitor centers are open for the holiday weekend; new art exhibits at Bear Valley Visitor Center.
