Once you arrive on the Olympic Peninsula connect to Hwy 101 to reach any destinations in and around Olympic National Park. From Olympia: take I-5 to Hwy 101 From Tacoma: take State Route 16 to Bremerton; take State Route 3 north from Bremerton to State Route 104. From Washington/Oregon Coast connect to Hwy 101 in Aberdeen.
Weather in Olympic is variable and unpredictable, no matter the time of year. It is common for different weather conditions to exist within the park at the same time. Even in the summer, temperatures may vary from 10-20 degrees, especially along the coast and higher elevations. Always check the current weather forecast or call the park's weather hotline at 360-565-3131 before your visit.
Olympic National Park is open 24 hours a day year-round, although some roads, campgrounds and facilities are open seasonally. Operating Hours and Seasons provides information on road and facility opening and closing dates. Entrance Fees
The park entrance fee is $30 for a private, non-commercial vehicle, $25 for individuals entering on a motorcycle, or $15 for individuals entering on foot or bicycle. Entrance fees are good for seven consecutive days. Annual, interagency, military, senior, 4th grade, and access passes are also available. Additional fees are charged for camping, wilderness overnight use, and commercial use. The fees you pay when visiting Olympic National Park are used to fund projects to improve visitor services.
