Parking Reservation Required.

Muir Woods is open 365 days a year!

The only exceptions are for emergency closures, including weather, air quality, power-outages, and other safety risks. These are listed on our website and social media sites as soon as they are determined.

Hours

Muir Woods is open from 8:00 AM until approximately sunset. More detailed information on park operating hours can be found on the Basic Information webpage.

The Muir Woods Visitor Center is open 8:00 am to 30 minutes before the park closes. The Muir Woods Trading Company and Cafe are open from 9 AM - approximately one-hour before the park closes.

Muir Beach, Muir Beach Overlook, and Stinson Beach

These sites all close one hour after sunset.

 

Reservations Now Required for parking on-site and riding the shuttle.
