Ornamental Rock Gardens

Yasusuke Kotiga had built a beautiful ornamental garden throughout his time spent incarcerated at Minidoka. When the camps closed, Mr. Kogita requested that the government send his rock garden from Minidoka to Seattle. The garden was recreated in front of Yasusuke Kotiga’s International District hotel. His son currently has the rocks to his garden in Seattle¹.
