Please note: America the Beautiful passes, including Senior, Access, Military, and Veteran passes, are no longer available at our administrative offices or the Fort Spokane Visitor Center. Passes can be acquired online on the USGS website. Passes can also be purchased in person at a federal recreation area or office. If you are already in the area, some local offices sell passes, listed below. Please contact any office first BEFORE driving there to double check supply and operating hours.

In general, one pass covers the entrance fees at Federally operated recreation sites. At sites with vehicle entrance fees, a pass admits the driver and all passengers in a personal vehicle at per-vehicle fee area. At sites where per person fees are charged, a pass admits up to four adults. Children age 15 or under are admitted free. Added benefits for Senior and Access Pass holders includes 50% discount on camping and other recreational fees. Always check with individual sites for details.

Types of Passes
Annual Pass - $80
Available to everyone.
Purchase in person at a participating federal recreation site or online.
Valid for 12 months from month of purchase.
Non-transferrable, non-refundable and cannot be replaced if stolen or lost.
Military Annual Pass - Free
Available to active duty U.S. Military members and their dependents in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, as well as Reserve and National Guard Members.
Must be obtained in person or online at a participating federal recreation site by showing a current Common Access Card (CAC) or Military ID (Form 1173).
Valid for 12 months from month of issuance.
Non-transferrable, non-refundable and cannot be replaced if stolen or lost.
Military Lifetime Pass - Free
Available to US miltiary veterans and Gold Star Families.
Must be obtained in person or online at a participating federal recreation site by showing a valid veteran ID or Gold Star Family Voucher.
4th Grade Pass - Free
Available to U.S. 4th graders, including home-schooled and free-choice learners 10 years of age, with a valid Every Kid Outdoors paper voucher.
Valid for the school year (September through August)
Must be obtained in person. Paper voucher must be brought in person; digital version are not accepted in exchange for the 4th Grade Pass.
Senior Lifetime Pass - $80
Must be a U.S. citizens or permanent residents age 62 and older, with valid ID.
Non-transferrable, non-refundable and cannot be replaced if stolen or lost.
Pass holders may also be eligible for half price services such as camping and boat launches.
Purchase in person at a particpating federal recreation site or online.
If you purchase an annual senior pass each year for three years they can be traded in for a Lifetime Senior Pass when you purchase an annual pass during the fourth year. Must present previous passes for trade.
Annual Senior Pass - $20
Good for 12 months from month of purchase.
Must be a U.S. citizens or permanent residents age 62 and older.
Non-transferrable, non-refundable and cannot be replaced if stolen or lost.
Pass holders may also be eligible for half price services such as camping and boat launches.

Volunteer Pass - Free
For people who volunteer 250 or more hours with federal agencies that participate in the America the Beautiful Pass Program.
