An entrance pass is not required to access Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area.

Other National Park Service sites may require an entrance pass or fee. Depending on your trip plans, an interagency pass may save you money.

2025 Free Entrance Days in the National Parks

Come experience the national parks! All National Park Service sites that charge an entrance fee will offer free admission to everyone (other fees, including timed entry or reservation fees, may apply). Mark your calendar for these entrance fee-free dates:

 
 

No Entrance Fee

Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area does not charge an entrance fee. There are fees in place for camping and boat launching. Please see information below about these fees.

The Recreation Fee Demonstration Program, passed by Congress in 1996, allows 80% of the fees collected at Lake Roosevelt to remain here.

 

Boat Launch Fees

Boat launch passes are required year-round at all Lake Roosevelt's National Park Service (NPS) boat launches. Visitors can purchase a weekly pass, good for seven consecutive days or an annual pass, good through December 31st of the year printed on the pass. Weekly boat launch passes can be purchased on pay.gov before entering the park. Annual boat launch passes must be purchased in-person.

  • Beginning January 1, 2025: $60 / valid from purchase date until December 31st of the year printed on the pass
  • Until December 31, 2024: $45 / valid from purchase date until December 31st of the year printed on the pass
  • Not eligible for any discounts (such as Senior or Access pass)

How to Purchase an Annual Boat Launch Pass

Note: Annual boat launch passes are no longer available online. Boaters must purchase these in-person at one of the following vendors.

In-Person passes are available for purchase at the following locations. Payment types accepted may vary by vendor, but most will take credit and debit cards, cash, and/or checks. Please have the following information ready: name, address, phone number, trailer license number, and purpose of permit (commercial or personal).

Camping Fees

All campsites accessible by vehicle require a reservation. Boat-in campsites are first-come, first-served. For individual and group site reservations, see our Reservations page. For more information on camping, see our Camping page.

Individual Campsites

Standard Camping Fees wil be increasing beginning March 15, 2025 at the following campgrounds: Evans, Kettle Falls, Gifford, Hunters, Fort Spokane, Porcupine Bay, and Spring Canyon.

  • $30 / site / night
  • No winter fee discount after March 15, 2025.

All other campgrounds (excluding Keller Ferry, operated by Lake Roosevelt Adventures)

  • $23 / site / night
  • No winter fee discount after March 15, 2025

Until March 14, 2024, all standard campsites:

  • May 1 – September 30: $23 / site / night
  • October 1 – April 30: $11.50 / site / night

All standard amping fees are half-price with an eligible America the Beautiful Senior (Annual or Lifetime), Golden Age, or Access Pass. Pass is only valid for one individual site.

Most sites can accomodate up to 2 vehicles (for example a truck and a boat trailer or an RV and a car or two cars) and 10 people at each campsite.

Campsite are only available with a valid reservation through recreation.gov.

Group Campsites

Group site fees vary based on number of people in your party.
Beginning March 15, 2025, group camping fees will increase:

  • 1 to 25 people = $65 / night
  • 26 to 50 people = $90 / night
  • 51 to 75 people = $115 / night

Until March, 14, 2025:

  • 1 to 25 people = $55 / night
  • 26 to 50 people = $80 / night
  • 51 to 75 people = $105 / night

Each group site has a maximum occupancy level (listed in each campground).

Group campsite fees are the same year-round and are NOT eligible for half price discounts with passes.

Group sites must be reserved through recreation.gov. Group sites are located at the following campgrounds:

 

Dump Station and Water Fill Fee

Starting March 15, 2025, a new fee will be in place for dump station use and water filling. These stations are availalbe at Evans, Kettle Falls, Gifford, Hunters, Porcupine Bay, Fort Spokane, Keller Ferry, and Spring Canyon.

  • $10 per use to dump grey and black water tanks and to fill potable water tanks.
  • Payments can be made at pay.gov starting March 15, 2025
  • Visitors purchasing campground reservation can add on this fee upon checkout at recreation.gov. This fee is not included in a campground reservation.
  • Visitors are not required to have a camping reservation in order to purchase a dump/fill permit.
