Fort Spokane Educators Guide (2012)

The educator guide is an in depth resource written by teachers and park educators that contains 6 teaching units totaling 18 lessons. Teachers can use one or more of these lessons to envoke greater understanding of the multi-faceted history of Fort Spokane.

The Northwest Fur Trade: Cultures, Commerce, and Change

This curriculum for 3rd through 12th grade, provides students with the opportunity to explore the lasting impacts of the fur trade on Native cultures, ecosystems, economies, and political boundaries. Created through Engaging Every Student in collaboration with the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation, Washington State University Vancouver, Friends of Spokane House, and other partners.

This curriculum can be enhanced with the use of the Fur Trade travelling trunk.

Investigating Ice Age Floods: Inquiry + Discovery of the National Geologic Trail + Beyond

This curriculum will share the unique Pacific Northwest geology shaped by the most recent Ice Age Floods. Created through Engaging Every Student in collaboration with the Ice Age Floods Institute.
