The Ice Age National Scenic Trail is open year-round.

Hunting Information

Some segments may be closed during Wisconsin's November 9-day gun deer hunting season. If you plan to hike during this time, we advise wearing blaze orange in areas that allow hunting.

No hunting is allowed at the Cross Plains Interpretive Site for the Ice Age National Scenic Trail.

National Park Service Office Hours

The National Park Service office in Cross Plains, Wisconsin is open from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., except on holidays. The office is located at 8075 Old Sauk Pass Road.
