The Ice Age National Scenic Trail is not your 'typical' park. The trail is primarily built and maintained by Volunteers. When completed, the trail will be more than 1,200 miles long and cross the state of Wisconsin north to south and east to west. The trail itself is located on lands managed by many Partners, other agencies and organizations, municipalities and individuals. Currently, more than half of the trail is complete and open to the public. These completed sections are connected by lightly traveled roads. Our non-rofit partner, the Ice Age Trail Alliance, maintains an on-line map of the trail along with information about trail conditions and a searchable Calendar of Events. The trail changes with every season and is a great way to explore a great state. Looking for more information?
