Park Admission

Entrance to Congaree National Park is free. There is no fee to enter the park.

National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass

Congaree sells and issues most America the Beautiful National Parks & Federal Recreational Lands Passes, including the Annual, Senior Annual, Lifetime Senior, Military, and Access passes. We do not have the Every Kid Outdoors 4th Grade passes at this time. Pass sales (including free passes) are limited to Sunday-Wednesday at this time. Only credit is accepted. It is not guaranteed that staff will be available, so please call [phone] the day you intend to visit to ensure that passes are available to be sold or issued. Without calling in advance, there is no guarantee that passes will be available.

In the event staff is unavailable to sell or issue a pass at Congaree, please note that Annual passes can be purchased at any national park site with an entrance fee, or by one of the following methods:

Military, Senior or Access passes can be obtained by visiting any national park site that charges an entrance fee.

For Columbia area residents, you may be able to purchase or obtain a pass by visiting the U.S. Forest Service office located at 4931 Broad River Road Columbia, SC. Their hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Please call [phone] in advance to make sure that passes are available.
