An entrance pass is not required to access Amistad National Recreation Area. Other National Park Service sites may require an entrance pass or fee. Depending on your trip plans, an interagency pass may save you money. Lake Use Passes![]() NPS / J. Rolls CampingDesignated campground sites are first-come, first-served. We do not take reservations for these standard sites. Fees are specific to each campground and are listed on each campground's page. HuntingHunting at Amistad National Recreation Area usually runs from the first day of dove season through the last day of quail season. To hunt one or more of Amistad's 5 designated areas, you will need a hunting permit each hunt year in addition to your state license and documentation.
