Tour tickets required to visit the Dig Shelter
The park is free to enter, but the Dig Shelter and its fossils are only accessible through a guided tour. Tours are conducted every 30 minutes and last 45 minutes to one hour. No reservation needed. Tickets are $6 for adults, and $5 for seniors (62+), military (with ID), and youth (ages 4-17). Infants and toddlers (ages 3 and under) are admitted for free. Tickets for groups (20+ people) are $4 per person.
An entrance pass is not required to access Waco Mammoth National Monument.
Other National Park Service sites may require an entrance pass or fee. Depending on your trip plans, an interagency pass may save you money.
General entrance to this park is free, however there is a fee to enter the Dig Shelter. Cash, checks, and most credit cards are accepted. (American Express is not accepted). Federal passes such as the America the Beautiful Annual, Senior, and Access passes do not apply to the access fee. Under the Operations Agreement between the National Park Service and the City of Waco, the City of Waco charges an access fee to support the preservation mission.
