Discovery, Stargazing, and Nighttime Wonder

  • 8:30-9:00 p.m: (Indoor) Dark Sky Presentation at Rainy Lake Visitor Center
  • 9:00-10:00 p.m: (Outside) Guided constellation tour and telescope session

Join Voyageurs National Park rangers and Voyageurs Conservancy staff for a celebration of International Dark Sky Week and National Park Week. Join Jesse Gates, a NASA Solar System Ambassador and Education Specialist with Voyageurs Conservancy, to explore the wonders of northern Minnesota's night sky and learn about Voyageurs National Park's role in combating light pollution and protecting our dark skies. With a powerful telescope, you'll have the chance to gaze at neighboring planets, enchanting stellar nurseries, and other awe-inspiring celestial objects.
