The Ash River Visitor Center is also known as the historic Meadwood Lodge.


Operating Hours & Seasons

The park is open year round. Operating hours for the park's three visitor centers change with the seasons. Guided boat tours are offered during the summer. Snowshoe hikes are offered during the winter. Check the Minnesota DNR for fishing seasons

Fees & Passes

There is no fee to enter the park. Amenity fees for camping do exist. Some Interagency passes will provide you with a discount for tour boat fees. We couldn't do this without your support. Your fees benefit the park.

Permits & Reservations

A variety of camping opportunities and ranger-led programs are yours to enjoy, but some activities may require a permit or reservation. Some activities may require a Commercial Use Permit or Special Use Permit, such as organized gatherings or business activities.
