Voyageurs National Park will start accepting Commercial Use Authorization (CUA) applications on Sunday, December 1, 2024. The open window to submit CUA applications will end on Friday, February 28, 2025. Businesses such as fishing guides, water taxis, ice fishing shelter rental companies, and others require a valid CUA to legally provide commercial services in the park. More information can be found on the park’s CUA webpage.CUA applications must be submitted electronically through the National Park Service’s new online CUA portal. Applicants are strongly encouraged to create an account on this website and set up their business profile before the open application period begins. CUA opportunities in Voyageurs National Park will become visible in the CUA online portal on December 1st.
The park will host multiple CUA workshops this winter to assist applicants who want guidance with the CUA website. Dates, locations, and times are posted on the park’s website. Applicants can come and go during these workshops at their own convenience but are also strongly encouraged to email the park’s Commercial Services Specialist to reserve a specific time slot.
CUAs in Voyageurs are valid for up to 2 years. Questions about the park’s CUA program can be answered on the park’s website or addressed by email to the park’s Commercial Services Specialist at e-mail us.
