Dogs are welcome on the trails at Tuzigoot National Monument - but please be sure to follow all rules so that we can continue to allow pets on the trail! All pets must remain on a leash no longer than 6 feet and under control at all times.
Pet owners are required to clean up after their animals and prevent them from harming park plants and wildlife. Pets (except service animals) are not allowed inside the visitor center at Tuzigoot.
Our cement trail gets hot during the summer and there is little shade around the pueblo, so prepare beforehand if you're bringing a pup! Make sure they have enough water and we recommend putting on boots to protect their paws.

Do you think your dog has what it takes to become an official Tuzigoot Bark Ranger? Stop by our visitor center desk to get certified. We have activity pamphlets for you and your furry friend, as well as a certification card signed by one of our Rangers! Certification also allows you to purchase an exclusive Bark Ranger badge from our WNPA Park Store!
We are always looking for more Bark Rangers to feature on our social media pages, so feel free to direct message us a picture of your pet at one of our sites and we will post it to our page!
