CampingReservations are not available for camping in the national seashore. All campgrounds and dispersed beach camping is done so on a first come, first served basis. When you arrive to Malaquite Campground, Bird Island Basin Campground, North Beach, or South Beach access roads, look for the self-serve registration kiosk. Follow the instructions to register for your site and deposit your registration form and fee (if applicable) into the metal fee tube. FishingA valid Texas fishing license package (license and endorsement) is required to fish in the park although exceptions may apply, and fees vary. Children under 17 years of age do not require a license. Visitors fishing within Padre Island National Seashore must follow the fishing license requirements in accordance with the laws and regulations of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. Fishing licenses are not available for purchase inside of the national seashore Special Use PermitMost special events and activities held in the park require a Special Use Permit issued only after the National Park Service determines that the activity will not cause degrodation of the park's resources or values, visitor experiences, or the purpose for which the park was established. Commercial Filming & Still PhotographyA commercial film permit is required for any individual, business, or organization (including nonprofit groups and educational institutions) filming for a market audience or receiving compensation associated with footage or recordings made on the seashore. |
