No entrance pass required
An entrance pass is not required to access Kalaupapa National Historical Park. Other National Park Service sites may require an entrance pass or fee. Depending on your trip plans, an interagency pass may save you money. The National Park Service does not charge any entrance fees for admission to Kalaupapa National Historical Park, but all visitors need a permit before entering the park. Most visitors can get a permit by reserving a spot of a guided tour to the park, if there is an operational tour. These tours charge a fee for their services. Children under the age of 16 are not allowed in Kalaupapa Settlement.
**Permits are required by the National Park Service and the Hawaii State Department of Health.
