![]() NPS photo- Jonah Snead A unique feature that we have at the Jimmy Carter National Historical Park is that we have a few different farm animals at the park to represent what the farm was like when President Carter was growing up. Currently, the park has chickens, goats, as well as two Belgian Cross mules. Invasive species have established populations in the area such as European Starlings (Sturnus vulgaris), House Sparrows (Passer domesticus), Feral Cats (Felis Catus), and while it may not be well known the Coyote (Canis latrans) is an invasive species for our region as well as the Southeastern United States. |
