Science Supporting The NPS Mission
The South Florida/Caribbean Network is one of thirty-two inventory & monitoring networks across the National Park Service. The environmental information gathered by the network is used by park managers to fulfill the National Park Service's mission to manage park resources "unimpaired for future generations." South Florida/Caribbean Network scientists collect long-term data on natural resources, including coral reefs, seagrass, marine plants and animals, invasive species, and forests. This web site delivers information about these resources, and the scientific activities underway in the South Florida/Caribbean Network.
