Driving directions

From I-95 / I-495

Northbound

1. Take Exit 23 for Route 201 Kenilworth Avenue South toward Bladensburg/Greenbelt.
2. Keep left to use the left 2 lanes to turn left onto MD-201 S / Kenilworth Ave.
3. Keep right to take the exit to MD-193/Greenbelt Rd., then turn left onto MD-193 E / Greenbelt Rd.
4. Keep right. in .3 miles, turn right onto Park Central Rd.

Southbound

1. Take Exit 23 for Route 201 Kenilworth Avenue South toward Bladensburg/Greenbelt.
2. Turn right onto MD-201 S / Kenilworth Ave.
3. Keep right to take the exit to MD-193/Greenbelt Rd., then turn left onto MD-193 E / Greenbelt Rd.
4. Keep right. in .3 miles, turn right onto Park Central Rd.

From the Baltimore-Washington Parkway

Southbound (from Baltimore)

1. Take exit 193 toward Greenbelt.
2. Turn left onto Southway, then merge onto Greenbelt Rd.
3. In .7 miles, turn left onto Park Central Rd.

Northbound (from Washington, DC)

1. Take the MD-193 exit toward Greenbelt / NASA Goddard.
2. Keep right at the fork and merge onto MD-193 W / Greenbelt Rd.
3. In 1 mile, turn left onto Park Central Rd.

Public Transportation

Metro

The College Park / U of MD Metro station is the closest station. Visit the WMATA website for station information and arrival times.

The park's south gate and Perimeter Trail access point is the nearest entrance into the park, 1.5 miles from the Metro station. Walk east on Campus drive and continue across Kenilworth Ave / MD 201. Campus drive turns into Good Luck Rd at this intersection. Continue .7 miles. Use the crosswalk at Parkdale High School to reach the north side of the road, and continue east a short distance to the park entrance on your left. Note there is no sidewalk for the final 250 feet to the park entrance.

Upon entering the park, continue .7 miles straight on the trail. The campground and ranger station will be on your left as you reach the park road.

Bus

The 16 and G14 buses stop at the intersection of the park entrance road and Greenbelt Rd. at the north entrance to the park.

The 14 and F6 buses stop at the south entrance to the park. These buses also service the College Park Metro station.
