How Grand Canyon Speaks Came To BeDuring the summer season of 2023, park rangers of Grand Canyon National Park created a new program to highlight the voices of the 11 associated tribes. The program was named Grand Canyon Speaks and designed to be a live interview between a park ranger and a participant of the park’s Cultural Demonstration program. As the summer continued the ability to record the conversations and release them as a podcast became a reality. Every episode you listen to was recorded live and most times recorded in front of a live audience. Grand Canyon Speaks Season Two Welcome to Season Two!
With over 20 recorded Grand Canyon Speaks interviews during the summer of 2024, Grand Canyon Speaks podcast will be releasing episodes starting November 1st, 2024, to kick off the month long celebration of Native American Heritage Month.
