Flight Time By Major Users:
- Maintenance/Facility Management - 211.4 Hours
- Search and Rescue/Medevacs - 155.3 Hours
- Wildland Fire - 230.3 Hours
2016 Mission Summary
Total Passengers Flown: 2,382 passengers
Total Cargo Flown: 898,895 pounds (approximately 449 tons)
Medevacs: 129 total flights and 343 passengers
Short-haul: 13 total (6 in Grand Canyon, 7 in Zion)
- Proficiencies (Training Short-hauls): 24 evolutions occurred in Helicopters 368 (MD 900) and 18 evolutions occurred in Helicopter 8PA (A-Star). This includes pilot proficiencies.
- Operational Short-hauls: Thirteen total. Six in Grand Canyon and seven in Zion. In addition to Medevac short-hauls, two operational evolutions were Short-hauls on to a wildland fire on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.
Wildland Fire Activity:
- General support: 31 initial attack and large (100+ acres) or project fires
- Total water dropped: 9,876 gallons / 55,305 pounds
Aerial Ignition:
- Helicopter 368 (MD 900) - Performed nine aerial ignition flights on both wildfires and prescribed fires.
- Helicopter 8PA (A-Star) – Performed 14 aerial ignition missions on the Jack and Fuller Fires.
Helicopter Training Academy from 2016 (taskbook completion through the Academy is not guaranteed)
