• Sections of the Historic Walk are Accessible. To download a copy of the Historic Walk Brochure click here. Stops 1, 3, 7, 8, and 9 are located on accessible routes. Stops 2, 4, 5, and 6 are usable.

Upon Arrival

The entry points at Bay and Franklin, Bay and Laguna, and Bay and Octavia are accessible to pedestrians. If you are arriving in a vehicle there are accessible parking spaces scattered throughout Fort Mason. The parking lot in front of Building 201 contains an accessible space and a designated accessible space. The designated accessible space located at the rear of Building 201 provides access to the accessible ramp. There is an accessible parking space located adjacent to the Chapel. There are accessible spaces located in front of the Officers Club. There is an accessible parking stall located in front of the Hostel as well. In the Southwest parking lot located behind Building 101 there are accessible stalls that serve Building 102 and the Great Meadow. In addition, there are accessible stalls located in other areas of Fort Mason as well.

Inside the Park

The pathways surrounding the Great Meadow are accessible. For accessible entry into the Great Meadow enter from the intersections of Bay and Franklin, Bay and Octavia, Bay and Laguna, or from McArthur St within Fort Mason. There is an accessible restroom and accessible benches located within the Great Meadow. There are two accessible picnic tables located in front of the Hostel at the Parade Ground, just above the community garden. These tables are adjacent to the accessible walking loop around Parade Ground. The picnic tables inside the community garden are usable.
