SAN FRANCISCO, CA - The National Park Service, Interior Regions 8, 9, 10, and 12 announced today it has selected the top four respondents to the Request for Qualifications issued on August 13, 2019 for the food and beverage operations at the Lands End Restaurant Properties. The selected respondents will be invited to respond to the Request for Proposals, which is the next phase of the selection process.
Through the Request for Proposals, the National Park Service will require a more detailed response to the proposed uses and concept plan and any improvements the respondents will make to the premises. Respondent’s names will not be provided during this phase of the confidential solicitation process. The name of the final selected respondent will be issued following the successful completion of the lease execution.
“During this unprecedented time in our community, we look forward to selecting a tenant for the Lands End Restaurant Properties and carrying on the history of hospitality at this beautiful site into the future. We recognize that the real estate market is impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and we will be responsive to these changes to further our partnership in this important area of the park.” said Charles Strickfaden, Communications Director for Golden Gate National Recreation Area.
From the Request for Proposals, the National Park Service will select a single entity for exclusive negotiations of the final lease, expected to begin spring/summer of 2021.
