An entrance pass is not required to access Glacier Bay National Park & Preserve.

Other National Park Service sites may require an entrance pass or fee. Depending on your trip plans, an interagency pass may save you money.

2025 Free Entrance Days in the National Parks

Come experience the national parks! All National Park Service sites that charge an entrance fee will offer free admission to everyone (other fees, including timed entry or reservation fees, may apply). Mark your calendar for these entrance fee-free dates:

Entrance Fees

Unlike most national parks, there is NO entrance fee to enter Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve.

If you plan on enjoying the park through any commercial outfitters, guides, tour-boats, lodges, etc., you should arrange any reservations through them.

Camping Fees

NO camping fees are required at Glacier Bay National Park.

  • Campers in the Bartlett Cove Primitive Campground are required to attend a camper orientation at the Visitor Information Station.
  • A free backcountry permit is required for overnight campers/kayakers.

Boating Permits

  • If you plan on enjoying Glacier Bay with your private vessel, a free permit is required.
