WEST GLACIER, MT – Glacier National Park officials announce the launch of a website about the 2010 Glacier National Park Centennial. The site, www.glaciercentennial.org, includes information about the purpose and vision for the celebration, a video clip, and a way to contact event planners. It will be revised regularly to include updates and opportunities for public involvement as they develop. A series of listening sessions will be hosted throughout the next year to capture comments that will help shape the anniversary celebration. Further details will be posted on the website. Deputy Superintendent Stephanie Dubois remarked, “Glacier National Park is for all. To continue the legacy of preservation and stewardship for the next 100 years, we welcome involvement in planning the centennial celebration.” Glacier National Park was established on May 11, 1910. The Glacier National Park Centennial Program is supported by many park partners, engaged community members, and park staff. |
