Oneida, Tennessee: On Monday, January 20, 2025, Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area will observe Martin Luther King Jr. Day by authorizing a 50 percent discount on backcountry camping permits for one day.
Other fee free days in 2025 include:
1. April 19 - the start of National Park Week
2. June 19 – Juneteenth
3. August 4 - the Great American Outdoors Act anniversary
4. September 27 - National Public Lands Day
5. November 11 - Veterans Day
