Although Big South Fork NRRA does not have an entrance fee, there are several types of user fees. These fees help the park fund projects such as trail rehabilitation, upgrading and replacing campsite fixtures as well as providing staffing in the campground offices.
Fees & Passes
On a variety of holidays, as well as the annual "National Park Week," entrance fees are waived at all National Parks. Learn more about fee free days in the National Parks at https://www.nps.gov/findapark/feefreeparks.htm.
Although Big South Fork does not collect entrance fees, we do have use fees. The park's Superintendent is in support of fee free days for backcountry camping, swimming pool use, and camping at Alum Ford Campground. Permits will still be required, but there will be no charge.
