An entrance pass is not required to access Yukon - Charley Rivers National Preserve.

Other National Park Service sites may require an entrance pass or fee. Depending on your trip plans, an interagency pass may save you money.

2024 Free Entrance Days in the National Parks

Come experience the national parks! All National Park Service sites that charge an entrance fee will offer free admission to everyone (other fees, including timed entry or reservation fees, may apply). Mark your calendar for these entrance fee-free dates:

There are currently no fees associated with use in the preserve.
Public use cabins are not reserved but utilized on a free, first come, first served basis.

 

America the Beautiful: National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass

As of 2007, the Golden Age, Golden Eagle, and Golden Access Passes were replaced with a new series of inter-agency passes called the "America the Beautiful - National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass. Each pass is described in brief, below.

  • America the Beautiful—National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Annual Pass - Cost $80
    This pass is available to the general public and provides access to, and use of, federal recreation sites that charge an Entrance or Standard Amenity Fee for a full year from month of purchase. The Annual Pass can be obtained in person at the Fairbanks Alaska Public Lands Information Center, by calling 1-888-ASK USGS, or online.
  • Senior Pass - Lifetime (Cost $80) and Annual (Cost $20)
    This is a pass for U.S. citizens and permanent residents age 62 and over. If you accumulate four Annual Senior Passes, you can turn them in for a Lifetime Senior Pass. The Senior Pass can be obtained in person at the Fairbanks Alaska Public Lands Information Center, by calling 1-888-ASK USGS, or online.
  • Military Pass - Free
    This pass is available to active duty military personnel and dependents with proper identification (CAC Card or DD Form 1173) for a full year from month of purchase. Obtain the pass at the Fairbanks Alaska Public Lands Information Center year-round.
  • Access Pass - Free
    This is a lifetime pass for U.S.citizens and permanent residents with permanent disabilities. The Access Pass can be obtained in person at the Fairbanks Alaska Public Lands Information Center, by calling 1-888-ASK USGS, or online.
  • Volunteer Pass - Free
    Volunteers who acquire 250 service hours on a cumulative basis are eligible for this pass. It provides access to, and use of, federal recreation sites that charge an Entrance or Standard Amenity Fee for a full year from month of award. Learn more about volunteering in the park.
