All Park Hours- Every Day:8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Tonto National Monument is open 8 am to 5 pm. The park is closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. The park closes early at 1:45 pm on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. September through May, the Lower Cliff Dwelling trail is open 8 am to 4 pm. June, July, and August, you must start your hike before 12 pm (noon). Weather during the summer can be extremely hot. It is typically 10 degrees Fahrenheit cooler than Phoenix, AZ. Winter weather may create hazardous conditions on the roads to Tonto National Monument. Severe thunderstorms may lead to a closure of the hiking trails.
Entrance Fee (Standard Entrance Pass)
The Visitor Center offers an introduction on the people who built the dwellings 700 years ago. Artifacts and replicas of pottery and textiles are on display in the museum while the park store, operated by Western National Parks Association, sells educational items. The 20-minute park movie, located on the upstairs viewing platform, shows on demand throughout the day. Ask park staff for accessible movie options. - Every Day:8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Lower Cliff Dwelling
- June-August: Open 8 am-12 noon. Visitors must begin their hike before 12 noon.
- September-May: Open 8 am-4 pm. Visitors must begin their hike before 4 pm.
- Trail may close due to excessive heat, lightning, bee activity, or flooding.
- The trail is 1 mile (1.6 km) roundtrip and takes an average of one hour to complete.
Upper Cliff Dwelling
- Available only with a guided tour and reservations are required.
- Tours occur November-April, Saturdays and Sundays.
