Essential Question
How do the numbers of soldiers wounded compare between patriot and British forces in the battles at Kings Mountain, Cowpens, and Ninety Six?
Objective
As a result of this lesson, the students will be able to assess and graph the number of wounded and connect the losses faced by Britain to the eventual surrender at Yorktown.
Background
Prisoners, wounded in battle, and dead.
Cowpens - the defeat took out close to 80%of Tarleton’s army, damaging Cornwallis’ right wing.
Kings Mountain - Cornwallis left wing suffered a major defeat.
Preparation
Students will be given websites to research and graph paper to notate information If students have access to computers all research and graphing can be computer based.

Procedure
Students will partner and research information and graph information then pair share and compare findings.
