No entrance pass required

An entrance pass is not required to access Stones River National Battlefield.

Other National Park Service sites may require an entrance pass or fee. Depending on your trip plans, an interagency pass may save you money.

As a fee free park, Stones River National Battlefield does not require entrance passes.

2026 Free Entrance Days in the National Parks

Come experience the national parks! All National Park Service sites that charge an entrance fee will offer free admission to everyone (other fees, including timed entry or reservation fees, may apply). Mark your calendar for these entrance fee-free dates:

Beginning in 2026, free entrance on these days will be for US citizens and residents only. Nonresidents will pay the regular entrance fee and any applicable nonresident fees.

Fees

Stones River National Battlefield is free. As a fee-free park, Stones River National Battlefield does not sell or distribute any type of public lands passes.

America the Beautiful Passes

An America the Beautiful pass (also known as "the National Parks Pass") is your ticket to more than 2,000 federal recreation sites. Each pass covers entrance fees at national parks and national wildlife refuges as well as standard amenity fees (day use fees) at national forests and grasslands, and at lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Reclamation and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

The nearest location to purchase a pass is at:

J. Percy Priest Lake Visitor Center

3737 Bell Road
Nashville, TN 37214
Phone: (615) 889-1975

A complete list of federal sites that issue passes has been created by the USGS, which administers the program.
