News Release Date: September 20, 2023

Join NPS Rangers on Saturday, September 23, at the Corinth Civil War Interpretive Center for the 30th annual National Public Lands Day (NPLD) volunteer event. Rangers are seeking volunteers to help with landscape maintenance on park properties.

Celebrating 30 years of care and community, NPLD has joined people across the nation in the care and celebration of our public lands. From humble beginnings with one federal agency, two sites, and 700 volunteers, NPLD has grown into the largest single day volunteer event for public lands.

NPLD is the signature event of the National Environmental Education Foundation (NEEF) which fosters a strong connection between people and the environment, educating and cultivating environmental stewards.

We will be working from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, on Saturday, September 23. If you are interested in volunteering, please call the Corinth Civil War Center to sign-up at 662-287-9273. Volunteers will need to bring work gloves, water, and wear clothes appropriate for the weather and work.
