Self-guided Field Trips

In addition to the ranger-guided programs, Shenandoah National Park provides training and lesson plans for teachers to prepare for and lead curriculum-based field trips to the park. Group size limits and grade levels vary. See individual program pages for more details.

If you are interested in scheduling a Kindergarten or 1st grade programs, please complete a program request.

If you are interested in the 4-10 Grade Shenandoah National Park: Virginia's Gift to the Nation or the 9-12 Grade Exploring Earth Science programs, please see individual pages below for more details. You will also need to complete an academic fee waiver request.
