Lost and Found

Did you lose an item during your visit to the parks? Please use the form below to let us know. Each year, we receive hundreds of found items; so please be specific when describing what you lost. Only submit one request for the lost item.

Please keep in mind that per National Park Service policy, lost and found property must be held for a period of 30 days. Some items, such as jewelry and cell phones, may be held for longer periods. Items which are not claimed by the owner within the 30 days will be considered abandoned to the United States and title of ownership is automatically transferred to the National Park Service. That title reverts to the owner where a proper claim is filled by the owner prior to official use or transfer for official use and prior to sale of the property.
