Sequoia & Kings Canyon Park Atlas
This interactive atlas allows you to explore the geography of the parks. You can find a wide variety of information, including visitor facilities, wilderness regulations, and natural resources. Use the atlas to create custom maps. Start with the base topography layer, click on layer visibility to choose layers to add to your map (e.g., ranger stations, shuttle stops, overlooks), then save a digital version or print a copy to bring to the park.

Use this interactive California highway map tool to find rest areas, areas of traffic congestion, highway construction zones, and chain control areas outside the parks. For chain control information in the park, please see park alerts or visit our Current Conditions page.

Visit the National Park Service map page for the most recent version of the map of Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, The Official Map and Guide includes a map of the parks, a map of surrounding areas and highways leading to the parks, a driving mileage table, and other useful information. The Official Map and Guide is also available at the parks's entrance stations. Translations are available for the Official Map and Guide.

Area Maps, Hiking Maps, Backcountry Trail Maps

Going on a short hike or ski around the Giant Forest or Grant Grove? Or a longer day hike? Visit the online store of our cooperating partner, the Sequoia Parks Conservancy (SPC) or purchase a map once you arrive. Some maps are also available for sale at Sequoia Parks Conservancy stores at the Foothills, Lodgepole, and Kings Canyon visitor centers, and the Giant Forest Museum.

For more detailed topographic maps for backcountry trips, please check the SPC online store, or visit the US Geological Survey's (USGS) maps website. Here, you can download 7.5 minute quadrangle maps of the parks for free, or you may purchase maps.

Foothills area campgrounds: Potwisha, and Buckeye Flat
Mineral King area campgrounds: Atwell Mill, Cold Springs
Lodgepole area campgrounds: Lodgepole, Dorst Creek
Grant Grove area campgrounds: Azalea, Sunset, Crystal Springs
Cedar Grove area campgrounds: Canyon View, Moraine, Sheep Creek, Sentinel
