EMERGENCIES: In case of emergency, call 911. Area map shows the location of the nearest phone. Site Location: Site is in a dry, sandy area. Predominant forest type is white pine along with a spruce/fir mix. A wood sign indicates the path to the site; the path may be marked by red arrowheads on trees. It is approximately 50 yards from Main Trail to Small Stream and approximately another 100 yards from Small Stream to Site. Camp safely away from standing dead trees, as near as is safely possible to the silver metal arrowhead. Boil or adequately treat all water. To Reach the Trailhead (TH): Upper Beaver Meadows TH: From Beaver Meadows Visitor Center follow Hwy 36 west approximately 2 miles (do NOT turn onto Bear Lake Road). Then turn left on the gravel road marked Upper Beaver Meadows and continue to the end of the road (approximately 1.6 miles). |
