Size: 5.5-6.5” Description: Grayish olive-brown overall with a lighter gray breast and sides, darker gray-brown head, and two pale wing bars. Migratory Status: Summer residents of Rocky Mountain National Park. Habitat: Prefer aspen forests, but also live in ponderosa pine and riparian forests to 9,000 feet and occasionally 10,000 feet. Diet: Forage by perching on a dead branch and waiting for insects to fly by. Eat all types of flying insects including bees, beetles dragonflies and moths.
