Size: 3-4”
Description: Pale olive above, gray below, white wing bars, a black-and-white striped face, and a yellow to orange crown patch.
Migratory Status: Spring, summer and fall residents and migrants of Rocky Mountain National Park.
Habitat: Breed in mature or dense spruce-fir and other coniferous forests to 11,500 feet.
Diet: Forage along branch tips, bark and conifer needles, and eat mainly insects.
