Size: 6-7.5”
Description: Mostly dark blue with an orange-brown chest, rust on the throat and forehead, and a long, forked tail.
Migratory Status: Summer residents of Rocky Mountain National Park.
Habitat: Breed in open riparian and aquatic habitats to 9,500 feet. Often build mud nests on buildings and bridges.
Diet: Forage in the air and eat mainly insects.
