These campgrounds are not in Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. The following is a list of private campgrounds within a 10-mile radius of Munising.

Munising Tourist Park

Overview:
Located on Lake Superior with 127 campsites. Hook-ups, picnic tables, and a fire pit. Rustic tent sites available. Reservations are recommended. Located west of Munising on M-28.

 

Wandering Wheels/KOA

Overview:
Located southeast of Munising on M-28 just east of the Hwy.13 intersection. Campground has 440 acres with 100 sites. Hook-ups, picnic tables, and a fire pit. Rustic sites available. Bathrooms, showers, and a pool. Group sites are available. Cabins available for rent. Reservations are recommended.

 

Otter Lake Campground & RV Park

Overview:
Located within the Hiawatha National Forest on Otter Lake; 70 sites with electric hook-ups, picnic tables, and a fire pit. Group sites are available. Lodge available for rent with 6 rooms. Take M-94 from Munising for 6.5 miles and turn left onto 16 Mile Road. Continue on for .2 miles and then turn left onto Buckhorn Road (2254) and follow for 2 miles. Campground will be on the right. Reservations recommended.

 

Catchin' Crickets Campground

Overview:
Self-register, first-come first-served campground with 25 rustic level sites. Each has a gravel pad for tents and can hold campers up to 30' in length. There is a privy located within easy access to the sites. Each site has a picnic table and a fire ring. Hand pump for water. Vacation home available for rent. Travel 9 miles east of Munising on H-58 to County Road H-15. (Bear Trap Restaurant is located at the intersection.) Turn right on H-15 and travel one mile and Catchin' Crickets is located on the left side of the road.

Overview:
Full service hookups for each site, WiFi, showers. Large 40' by 80' sites. Tent sites available. Each site has a fire ring and picnic table. Located on Furnace Lake in Christmas, MI. Heading west on M-28, watch for sign on the left, about a half mile past the Christmas Kewadin Casino. Reservations recommended.
