Canyon Village Market & Deli

Canyon Village Market & Deli is located in Market Plaza, across the parking lot from Yavapai Lodge and next to the US Post Office. The Market/General Store is open daily from 7 am to 9 pm. The Deli is open daily from 7 am to 6:30 pm. A large selection of groceries and souvenirs are available, along with outdoor gear for campers and backpackers.
St. Francis Hotel

The St. Francis Hotel has lived many lives: first as a place of business operated by early settlers Zachary and Jenny Fletcher, then as private residence and restaurant of the Switzer family. The original two-story limestone structure was built in 1881 and was a successful hotel in Nicodemus. The Switzer family bought the building in 1921 and built several additions while they lived there.

The Visitor Center/Park Store is open Thursday - Sunday (4 days per week) from 10am to 4pm, inside the Sandburg Home. The online park store is open everyday! The Park Store and visitor information area is a great place to start your visit! You can find information to plan your visit, get a passport stamp, participate in the Jr Ranger or BARK Ranger programs, and get a schedule of upcoming events. The park store has a wide range of Sandburg books, media, and other items.
Sleeping Bear Inn Garages

Six years after Day's death, his daughter Marion and her husband Louis Warnes began running Dunesmobile rides out of Glen Haven. It started with a 1934 Ford which took four people out to the crest of the dunes and back. It was a thrilling 35-minute ride that took passengers to the crest of the dunes and back for 25 cents each. By the time the rides ended in 1978, there were 13 dunes wagons each carrying 14 passengers on a 12 mile, 35-minute excursion.
Sleeping Bear Inn

Originally known as the Sleeping Bear House, this inn with bright geraniums filling its window boxes welcomed the guests of the little village for nearly one hundred years. D.H. Day himself married the daughter of the innkeeper and lived in the second story for a while. In addition to Day and his family, the inn hosted an eclectic mix of lumberjacks, dock workers, businessmen and posh passengers.

This RV Dump Station is typically open spring - fall, closing for the season when overnight temperatures fall below freezing. The dump station is located at the south end of North Campground and can be used by any visitor for a $5 use fee. No use fee applies for those with a campground reservation in the park. Unita Zelma Blackwell (1933-2019)

Blackwell was an outspoken critic of racial and economic inequality and the first Black female mayor elected in the state of Mississippi. We honor her as an ancestor for reminding us of the power to change the circumstances we were born into.

The Bayard Rustin Residence is significant as the most important resource associated with Bayard Rustin (1912- 1987), a person of great importance in American political and social history. Born in West Chester, Pennsylvania, Rustin lived a peripatetic life as a social activist and organizer, living intermittently in a number of different homes. In 1962, Rustin purchased apartment 9J in Building 7 of the new Penn South Complex in the West Chelsea section of Manhattan.

Located on the east side of Bright Angel Lodge in the South Rim Village Historic District, the Arizona Steakhouse is one of the few restaurants in the park offering canyon views from the dining area.
