Visitor Center
The visitor center is open daily May - September, 9 am - 5:30 pm.

September 30 - October 25, the visitor center is open Monday - Friday, 9 am - 3 pm.

October 26 - May, the visitor center is closed. Email KLGO_information@nps.gov or call 907-983-9200 with questions.

Located on the corner of 2nd and Broadway in the Skagway Historic District in the former White Pass & Yukon Route depot.

The visitor center is wheelchair accessible and service animals are welcome. There are public restrooms in the visitor center.

Park Museum & Administrative Offices
The park museum is located on the ground floor of our administrative building next to the Visitor Center at 2nd and Broadway.

May - September 29 the museum is open daily 9 am - 5:30 pm.
September 30 - November 12, the museum is open Monday - Friday, 9 am - 3 pm, closed Federal holidays.
November 13 to February 25, museum access is available Monday - Friday by appointment only. Please email KLGO_information@nps.gov or call 907-983-9200 to make an appointment.
February 26 though early May, the museum is open 9 am - 3 pm, closed Federal holidays.

This museum is wheelchair accessible and service animals are welcome.

Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park's Administrative Offices are located upstairs from the park museum.

Administrative Office Hours: Monday - Friday 10 am - 4 pm year round. Closed Federal holidays.

Mascot Saloon Museum- Re-opening in Summer 2024.
Visit an authentic post-gold rush saloon. For the 2024 season, only the Mascot restrooms are open to the public while exhibit installation is in progress.

Open daily early May - late September
9 am - 5:30 pm

Moore House Exhibit
See exhibits in this restored home of Skagway's first homesteading family.

Hours vary, check at visitor center on 2nd and Broadway for daily schedule. This museum is closed during the park's winter season.

Located at 5th and Spring in the Skagway Historic District.

Jeff. Smiths Parlor Museum
Tour the inside of one of the oldest museums in Alaska dedicated to "Soapy" Smith, early Alaskan oddities, and other curiosities now restored to its 1960s glory.

This museum is open at specific times of the day, May - October. Please check at the Visitor Center the day of your visit for more information on the hours of the day for Jeff. Smiths Parlor and to pick up a free, timed-entry ticket. It is closed during the park's winter season.

Located on 2nd Ave just west of Broadway in the Skagway Historic District.

This facility is wheelchair accessible. This building does not have restrooms.

This location is closed for the 2024 season. Junior Ranger Activity books are available at the Visitor Center at 2nd & Broadway

Chilkoot Trail Center

Registration and information center for the Chilkoot International Trail. Stop by to get your Chilkoot Trail Permit, see the bear awareness video, and get your trail orientation. During permit season, regularly scheduled orientations are at 8 am, 10 am, noon, 2 pm, and 4 pm daily.

During the off-season, these services are available at the Park Administrative Offices, located at 2nd and Broadway.

Open daily July - mid September
8 am - 5 pm (closed for lunch)

Located on Broadway between 5th and 6th in the Skagway Historic District.

This facility is wheelchair accessible and service animals are welcome. This building does not have public restrooms.
