Mount Vernon TrailYou may have noticed the new fence along the Mount Vernon Trail just south of Arlington Memorial Bridge. This is a staging area for materials and equipment the National Park Service will use for our rehabilitation of the bridge.
You should expect intermittent temporary closures on the trail as workers move heavy equipment in to the staging area. You should also expect traffic entering and exiting the George Washington Memorial Parkway over the trail. We do not anticipate closures to move equipment lasting longer than about 15 minutes. Traffic may affect the trail until the project is done in early 2021.
