George Washington Carver's childhood home consists of rolling hills, woodlands, and prairies. The 240 acre park has a visitor center, theater, museum, an interactive exhibit area for kids, and a 3/4 mile nature trail. The cultural setting includes the 1881 Historic Moses Carver house and the Carver family cemetery.

This map shows George Washington Carver National Monument and surrounding communities. To reach the park:

From Interstate 44

From Exit 11A on I-44, take I-49 (US 71) south to Highway V. Turn east onto Highway V and travel five miles to Carver Road. Travel south ¾ mile to the park entrance

From Exit 18A on I-44, take Highway 59 south to Diamond. Turn west onto Highway V and travel two miles to Carver Road. Travel south ¾ mile to the park entrance.

From Neosho, MO

Take I-49 (US 71) north to Highway V. Turn east onto Highway V and travel five miles to Carver Road. Travel south ¾ mile to the park entrance.
