Arrive early or late. You'll have more success finding parking at places like Jenny Lake and the Laurance S. Rockefeller Preserve before 8 a.m. or after 3 p.m.
Meet a ranger at Glacier View Overlook (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) or Snake River Overlook (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday) from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., June 12 through September 7 for park orientation, information and the latest updates.

Suggested Itineraries
Ideas for one to four days at the park
A standard visit to Grand Teton National Park ranges from two to four days. Pick and choose from these iconic Teton experiences with a few new twists to make the most of your multi-day trip.
Day 1
Take your photo at the Grand Teton National Park entrance sign.
Take a short hike to Murie Ranch and learn more about the Muries and their great outdoors legacy.
Book a Snake River float trip and meet your guide at Moose Landing.
Drive north on the outer park road and stop at Mormon Row, Glacier View Overlook, or Snake River Overlook for incredible views and to chat with park staff.
Attend the evening ranger program at Gros Ventre Campground (the program is open to everyone) to learn more about the park.
Day 2
Start early and take a wildlife tour with one of the park's authorized tour operators for the best chance to see wildlife like bears, moose, eagles, otters and more.
Head to Jackson Lake Lodge for lunch and a short walk to Lunch Tree Hill.
Take a stroll along the family-friendly Lakeshore Trail for picturesque mountain and lake views and the chance to see wildlife.
Drive north to Leeks Marina for pizza and ice cream along the shores of Jackson Lake.
Day 3
Rent a bike or ride your own on the park's Grand Teton Pathway. Moose to Jenny Lake is a nice option and you don't have to worry about finding a place to park at Jenny Lake.
Pick up a snack at Dornan's before you head out, or end your ride here and eat lunch on the patio with the best views around.
Consider driving north on the outer park road, stopping at Cunningham Cabin and Elk Ranch Flats for historic photo ops and wildlife viewing.
Continue on to Jackson Lake Dam for photos and a short walk along the shores of the lake.
If you have fishing gear, Snake River below the dam is a popular place to cast a line. Access from Jackson Lake Dam Boat Launch, Picnic Area, or Overlook.
Drive up the Signal Mountain Summit Road for panoramic views, but only if you're in a small vehicle and comfortable driving on steep, narrow, winding roads.
Today is also a good day to book a scenic cruise from Colter Bay Marina, rent a kayak or canoe from one of the marinas, or take a horseback ride with one of the park's authorized tour companies.
If you haven't, stop in at one of the Grand Teton Association stores to buy a memento from your trip.
See the Tetons from locations in Jackson like Snow King Resort and the multi-use pathway.

Alternatives to Classic Grand Teton Experiences
Avoid congestion and construction impacts with these tips
Taggart Trail and Lake
Access to Taggart Lake will be via a longer, steeper out-and-back hike (4.25 miles roundtip with 770 feet of elevation gained).
The Lakeshore Trail is a family-friendly loop hike with great views of Jackson Lake and Mount Moran.
Heron Pond - Swan Lake Loop winds through forests and wetlands and is a great chance to see birds and other wildlife.
Death Canyon
Death Canyon Road and trailhead will be closed this year for construction.
Access via Granite Canyon or consider hikes starting at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.
Mormon Row
Elk Ranch Flats offers wildlife viewing and wide-open scenery.
For a historic cabin experience with a mountain backdrop, consider Cunningham Cabin.
Jenny Lake
Arrive before 9 a.m. or after 3 p.m.
If parking is full, head north to Colter Bay for easier trailhead access, boat tours and rentals, more parking and amenities, and iconic lake views.
