Ranger Programs

• Tactile objects: All ranger programs strive to engage multiple senses and learning styles, and they often include audio components and/or tactile objects.

Visitor Facilities

Moose

• Exhibits and films: Many exhibits in the Craig Thomas Discovery and Visitor Center are tactile, including animal furs, antlers and horns, and more. The 22-minute film, "Life on the Edge" shares sights and sounds of the park in all its seasons.
• Noises and quiet spaces:The visitor center has a public address (PA) system used to make periodic announcements throughout the day. In the event of an emergency, the fire alarm is loud. There are some benches outside the facility that can offer a respite from the often-busy facility.

Jenny Lake

• Note: The South Jenny Lake visitor services area and trails on the west side of Jenny Lake are undergoing a major rehabilitation project through summer 2017. Please call ahead to verify accessibility information. Visitors will still be able to access the temporary visitor center, restrooms and boat dock during the construction project. • Exhibits and films:Some exhibits in the Jenny Lake Visitor Center are tactile, including geology exhibits and a touch table including animal furs, antlers and horns. A 90-second geology animation plays continuously.
• Noises and quiet spaces: The visitor center does not have a PA system. However, the small visitor center may be congested and loud, on a busy, summer day. In the event of an emergency, the fire alarm is loud. There are some chairs outside the facility that can offer a respite from the often-busy facility.

Colter Bay

• Exhibits and films: Some exhibits in the Colter Bay Visitor Center are tactile, including displays of the materials American Indians used to create artifacts. A variety of films show in the auditorium throughout the day some videos are open-caption. Ask at the visitor center desk for more information and current showing.
• Noises and quiet spaces: The visitor center has a PA system used to make periodic announcements throughout the day. In the event of an emergency, the fire alarm is loud. There are some benches outside the facility that can offer a respite from the often-busy facility.

Laurance S. Rockefeller Preserve

• Exhibits and films:The exhibits in the Laurance S. Rockefeller Preserve concentrate on the senses (sight, sound, and feeling). No film is available.
• Noises and quiet spaces:In the event of an emergency, the fire alarm is loud. There are some benches outside the facility that can offer a respite from the often-busy facility. However, limited parking spaces make this facility feel less busy than the other visitor centers in Grand Teton.

Flagg Ranch

• Exhibits and films:The information station has limited exhibits and no film.
• Noises and quiet spaces:The Flagg Information Station is a small usually quiet facility.
