The entire southern area of Dead Horse Bay, including Glass Bottle Beach, is closed to the public. Crews are working in these areas using heavy brush clearing equipment and performing radiation surveys. Dead Horse Bay is located in Brooklyn, NYC.

Due to extremely hazardous conditions Gateway National Recreation Area has restricted access to sections of Jacob Riis Park. Erosion has created unsafe conditions from Bays 1-5, and portions of the eastern beach are closed. More

Looking for a new place to get in your miles? Run (or walk) through Gateway. There are paths to run in each of the units. and both Great Kills and Sandy Hook have multi use paths.
Interested in a race? Many races are run through different sections of Gateway, including the Staten Island Half Marathon, Jersey Shore Half Marathon, and the New York Marathon.
So whether you want to get in some hill work in Fort Wadsworth, or are looking for a nice flat path, lace up your shoes and get going.
